Set in one of the nicest parts of the Dordogne, the Perigord Noir, this charming and historic property, built in 1750, is situated in the village of Siorac-en-Périgord. It is comfortable and well-restored house which has retained original features and materials but furniture and equipment are good. The Chateau contains many antiques, fine furnishings and a traditional and classic design but has a comfortable and family-friendly feel.

Accommodation

Ground floor: Entrance hall, office with sofa and single bed

The first floor has a second entrance hall, a very large and well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge-freezer with instant ice-maker. The kitchen leads to the very large living room with open fireplace and the dining room.

Bedrooms are on the second and third floor. On the second floor are three double rooms with en suite bathrooms. On the third floor is a room with a double bed (that can be separated) and a single bed (so sleeping up to 3). The fifth bedroom can be a double or a twin as you wish.

The Chateau has stunning views of the Dordogne Valley and the gardens feature mature trees, bamboo, rose bushes and hydrangeas bordered by laurels. In one of the gardens close to the kitchen is a dining terrace with furniture for twelve people and a barbecue.

The pool is located in a secluded part of the garden and is suitable for children. There are sun beds, umbrellas, tables and chairs provided. There is also table tennis.

­Siorac-en-Périgord is a small village situated in the heart of the Périgord Noir with a large supermarket, post office, bars, bakery, and a Wednesday market.

Sports facilities include two golf-courses (18 holes and 9 holes), tennis, fishing, canoeing all within a short drive or walk from the chateau. The railway station is a 5-minute walk away. Bergerac aiport is 40 minutes drive from Siorac. Bordeaux and Toulouse airports are 2 hours drive from the village.
