Palmer & Parker will arrange your car hire through Hertz Car Hire, a reliable company with a large range of vehicles and high standards of customer service. Pick up your car on arrival at Faro airport and return it to their depot on the day of your return. The prices below show the weekly rate and include unlimited mileage, collision damage waiver and theft protection. If you prefer, your car can be delivered to your villa free of charge. Please note car hire is subject to availability and that car hire companies reserve the right to substitute similar cars of the same group. The first Euros 1000 of damage is payable by the hirer for group A; Euros 1050 for Group Y; Euros 1700 for groups X, C and D; Euros 2300 for group M, E, I, and G; p3000 for group P, Euros 2350 for group Q and Euros 4200 for group F. Insurance to reduce liability to Euros 60 is offered by Hertz at a daily rate of Euros 11 for group A, 11.50 for group Y, 12.00 for groups X, C and D; Euros 13.50 (groups M, E, P, I and Q); Euros 20.00 (group G); Euros 22.00 (group F) payable locally.

An airport charge of Euros 23.75 and a road tax fee of Euros 1.80 per day (maximum Euros 27.00) are payable locally. Child booster seats are Euros 8.00 per rental and baby seats Euros 7 per day; additional drivers are Euros 4.50 per driver per day. Baby seats and roof racks should be ordered at time of booking. The minimum age for a driver is 21 years for group A, Y, X and C and 25 years for other groups. There is a young driver surcharge of Euros 8.26 per day. VAT at 21% is payable on all local charges.

Contractors now charge for cleaning at the end of the rental if the car is not returned clean. This applies to the interior as well as the bodywork.
