The 1700 acres of Quinta do Lago adjoins the Ria Formosa National Park and the Atlantic, and has 72 holes of championship-quality golf. Villas in Quinta do Lago are individually designed, many of exceptional quality, set in the pines and alongside the superbly maintained golf courses. Facilities include an equestrian centre, tennis clubs, lakes with watersports and of course the magnificent beach. The whole is beautifully maintained.

Villas in Quinta do Lago and nearby Vale do Lobo are all separate, built and equipped to a very high standard. Construction of properties is regulated and the area has the lowest building density of any such development in Europe. Within 15 minutes drive are local market towns, old fashioned Portuguese shops and a wide range of restaurants. The David Lloyd tennis centre, 2 water slide parks and the marina at Vilamoura are within 15 minutes. Faro airport is about 25 minutes drive.

Local beaches
The beach at Quinta do Lago is a favourite for many people: reached by a wooden bridge from close to the Quinta do Lago Hotel, the sand is fine and the sea warm. Windsurfers are available for rental on the beach, and close to the bridge is the famous Gigi restaurant.
