The largest island in the Caribbean, second only to Cuba, with a commercial existance not wholly dependent on tourism. The North Coast ridge from Montego Bay to Ocho Rios is sensationally beautiful with mountainous backdrops. It was here that Noel Coward worried about money and Fleming wrote Bond. Worries about crime and security in Jamaica are usually exaggerated. The North Coast is separated from Kingston by some dense country and mountains. Villa holidays in Jamaica are not like the mass-market all-inclusive resort holidays at all.
