Villa of the week: this week Serena, South of France
Favourite villa of this week (and perhaps for some weeks to follow) is Villa Serena in Chateauneuf de Grasse, South of France. Chateauneuf is a charming village with famous neighbours and good shops and restaurants within short driving distance. Serena is unusual for villas in the South of France in that the architectural style is old aristrocratic French manor house, not traditional villa Mas Provencal (the usual style in the South of France). The garden is large and one of the nicest I know. Accommodation is comfortable and attractively furnished living room with piano,
fireplace and French windows leading onto terrace and exceptional garden, two dining rooms (one open for summer dining), two twin rooms on the ground floor, two doubles on the first floor and a fifth bedroom with a separate entrance. All bedrooms have their own bathrooms.
