Our villa of the week this week is St Cristophe, a sensational rental villa in the South of France. It occupies a fantastic position on high ground with panoramic views all the way from Monaco/Nice to the east to Cannes/Bocca and the L’Esterel Mountains to the west and down to the sea. It has history: it was built in 1927 by the Comte de Valence for his mistress, then had a strategic role towards the end of World War II because it commanded views along the whole coast.

Villa St Cristophe has spacious rooms, good equipment and excellent furniture: it has recently
been completely refurbished with further work continuing until Feb
2007. Outside areas are excellent with attractive garden, good views in
all directions and two outdoor dining areas. Broadband. Sky World Plus.
