Superior quality villa in a spectacular seafront location
One of the finest villas in the Eastern Algarve, this is set in its own grounds within the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve overlooked by an ancient Moorish watchtower. It is very well equipped with pool heating, air conditioning throughout and a private all-weather tennis court. There is also a music system, wireless internet and satellite tv.
The beach is about 15 minute' walk and restaurants are also within easy walking distance. Boat trips, kayaking, kitesurfing,horseriding, fishing and golf are just some of the activities nearby. Staying at the house, you can enjoy the pool 14m x 7m approx, large heated pool which has an electric cover. The games room has a full-size pool table and table tennis. The villa is also equipped with many family games including Boules, backgammon and chess.
To the rear and west side of the villa is a vineyard. Although the villa is secluded, it is only one kilometre away from Fuseta. Access from the main road is along an unsealed track.
The Ria Formosa is a system of beautiful lagoons, separated from the ocean by natural sandy inlets and islands. It is considered the most important wild-life sanctuary on the Algarve: its lagoons and marshes hold a wealth of resident and migratory birds, as well as being abundant in shellfish. Local gatherers can be seen from the villa at low tide, harvesting their crop of clams, oysters, mussels and cockles. In general it is a very quiet and unspoilt spot, but be aware that there is a train track adjacent that carries a branch commuter service.
Maid Service is provided three mornings a week (more can be organised if required). The head maid is an excellent Portuguese cook and is available to prepare meals by private arrangement.
Accommodation includes:
- Elegant and comfortable living room, with satellite tv, dvd, Hi-Fi, and a large collection of books. Four sets of French doors open out onto the south facing covered terrace, where you can sit on the sofas and look over the swimming pool to the spectacular lagoon and sea views beyond.
- The state of the art kitchen has granite worktops, gas hob, three large fridges, one combined with deep freeze, electric fan oven, combination microwave oven, toaster, juicer, liquidiser, food processor, coffee maker, ice crusher. A very special feature is the water fountain, which provides up to 35 litres of purified, chilled water every day.
Close to the kitchen terrace is a built-in barbecue and a traditional stone built, wood burning oven. Incorporated into the kitchen, is a stylish and elegant dining area, with seating for twelve. The kitchen and dining area both enjoy spectacular sea views, with double doors leading out to a bourgainvillea, rose, and vine clad pergola with a large fixed T shaped table which overlooks the swimming pool, lagoon, and sea beyond. - There are 5 double bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. Three have private secluded terraces. Four have walk-in showers in addition to baths. Two bedrooms are zippable singles: so they can be twins or kingsize doubles. There are three bedrooms on the first floor, and two on the ground floor. All beds are high quality and pocket-sprung. All the bathrooms have wall-mounted hair dryers and heated towel rails. Bath robes, towels and soap are supplied. The total number of beds can be made up to 12 with addition of 2 temporary beds.
- Outside: The pool is 14m x 7m approximately and heatable, with an electric cover. There are two dining terraces, one has the barbecue and a wood burning oven. There is also an all-weather tennis court. On the west side of the villa is another terrace table, which captures the evening sun. Below the tennis court is a sheltered, covered, gazebo, away from the main house. Many exotic birds nest and are seen in and around this beautiful garden. In addition to many palm trees, the garden has fruit bushes and other trees, including strawberry guavas, physallis, fig, quince, pear, clementine, orange, lemon, and pomegranate.
